We offer free educational visits to school groups as part of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme. Visits consist of a morning tour of the farm led by our friendly and helpful staff. Your class is then welcome to eat packed lunches in the barn and follow teacher led activities in the afternoon.
Schools are not limited in how many groups they can bring - for example you may wish to bring three different form groups on three separate days. That is absolutely fine and would still be provided free of charge.
Educational Visits
There are plenty of things to see and do here on the farm. Let us know what you would like to focus on in line with the topics you are covering in class. The farm has been diversified and includes:
Our lovely animals - cows, sheep and chickens
The market garden, producing weekly veg boxes
Fruit orchards - apples, pears, plums and cherries
A forest garden managed with the help of volunteers
Agroforestry and tree planting
Two fishing pools
Accommodation in the form of a large sleeping barn and caravan site
