Dexter Beef & Lamb

All our animals spend their whole lives on the farm before being taken to a local abattoir for butchery. Our Dexter cattle are typically raised until the age of 3 and half and are completely grass fed meaning they are fed no grains or supplements; this is not only better for the planet but creates tastier meat. Like the cattle, our sheep are given no supplements being slower grown gives the meat more flavour and creates healthier animals. We sell the lamb typically as hoggets (lambs that have grown on one year) and mutton (typically 2-4 years) but do occasionally have lamb (less than one year) available. Whilst we are not certified organic we follow the principles and do not use routine anti-biotics, wormer or any artificial chemicals/fertilizers.
